Getting Started
New to Guitarocracy? Start here for quick setup tips:
- Download and Installation: After purchase, you’ll receive a license key to unlock Guitarocracy via email. The email’s title will include “License Key for Guitarocracy”. Within the email is also step-by-step installation instructions.
- Activation: Use the serial key provided in your purchase email confirmation to activate within Native Access. Load Native Access on your PC/Mac. Use the “+ Add Serial” option (located on the bottom left) then enter your serial key and select the Add Serial button to activate Guitarocracy.
Troubleshooting Common Issues
Here are solutions to frequent problems users encounter:
- No Sound Output: Verify that Guitarocracy is loaded correctly in Kontakt and your MIDI keyboard or DAW is sending input. Check your audio settings in Kontakt—make sure the output is routed to your main audio device.
- Latency or Performance Problems: Increase your buffer size in your DAW’s audio settings. Recommend at least 8 GB RAM; close other apps for better performance.
- MIDI Conversion Issues: If piano/MIDI data isn’t converting to guitar sounds as expected, double-check your MIDI channel (default is 1). Restart Kontakt if notes aren’t displaying on the virtual fretboard.
- Compatibility Errors: Guitarocracy requires Kontakt Player 8+. If you’re using an older version, update via the Native Access app. Tested on Windows 10/11 and macOS 12+.
